Meet Alexis Wintrob, Author of Za Za’s Scent-Sational Super Power
Alexis is a strategy and trends fragrance consultant who discovered her passion for writing children's books through an unexpected path. Drawing from her experience in perfumery at Procter & Gamble, where she worked alongside fellow STEM professionals, she was inspired to craft a story about a young girl's journey to create magical scents.
Watching her twin daughters fall in love with imaginative stories and vibrant illustrations motivated her to pursue writing as a creative outlet. Through her work, she hopes to spark children's curiosity about the science of scent and show them that the possibilities for discovery are truly limitless—especially when they follow their nose!

Za Za’s nose would never be the same after a surprise encounter with Lizzy, a honey-scented, pink, purple, and yellow polka-dotted bee. Armed with her new scent super power, Za Za embarks on memorable fragrance-filled adventures. Testing out a dash of this and a hint of that, she learns from her fragrance flops and problem solves with her new friend to create unforgettable fragrance experiences.
Za Za and her sister Ella each decide to enter the Community Kindness Contest. With a dash of honey-scented sparkles from her friendly bee buddy Lizzy, Za Za follows her nose and soon discovers the sweetness that comes from collaboration rather than competition.
